As August ends, the monsoon calms down. TRV fully capitalised on that calmness in its third August. Handling 141,759 containers, TRV broke previous records. The previous highest score was 130,863 TEU this past May. August also delivered another achievement: the highest cargo exchange on a single ship. The MSC Palak, which spent 81.59 hours at the berth, handled 11,011 TEU during that time, setting a new record.
The summary of the August performance is roughly as follows: port utilisation stood at 95.80%, turnaround time at 28.06 hours, anchorage waiting time at 30.47 hours, and ships travelling to and from domestic ports accounted for 38.77%.
