In a land where malls and shopping centres rise on acres of land, is it possible to start a shop in just half a metre? It cannot be called a full shop; it is a small shop inside another shop. The nano story of this nano shop takes place in Germany.
The protagonist is an expatriate and a regular viewer of Sailing Commentary. His desire was to sell some products from Kerala in Germany. However, he had no prior experience in trade or import. Yet, he occasionally tried to learn about import and export because TRV’s growth fascinated him. He is also waiting to see ships arriving directly in Germany from TRV. Meanwhile, he approached a shop there to inquire if he could sell some non-perishable items. In short, he was allowed to rent a small shop inside that large shop. The dimensions of the nano shop might surprise us: length 50, width 40, inside 30—all in centimetres! The shop will be inaugurated on 4 September. The first product: our elephant caparison (Nettipattam).
